My Furnace Filter Is Weird, But Works!...Should I Go To Disposable Filters??

What happens here

After confirming the unit is powered off, slide out the cover panel of the Honeywell Electronic Air Cleaner. This panel usually pulls straight out. Once the cover is removed, there will be two components visible inside: a metal mesh pre-filter and the main electrostatic collector cells (often referred to as 'suitcases'). Carefully remove the metal mesh pre-filter first, by sliding it out. Then, remove the main electrostatic collector cells by pulling them out. Note their orientation for correct reinstallation.

Goal: Extract the pre-filter and main collector cells from the air cleaner housing.

Tools and materials

and then there's two of these filters right here and then one more those other little suitcase type setups here i don't really know what you call this but it's got a bunch of fins and looks like little wires in it all right so i've got my little bostitch pancake compressor here with an air fitting and we're just gonna go ahead and we're gonna blow all the dirt out of these we're gonna get these things all cleaned up and get them put back in okay so these bad boys they are decently cleaned at this point right
