Modern Siding on Abandoned House. INCREDIBLE TRANSFORMATION! (EP.11)

What happens here

The team continues installing siding, paying close attention to corner joints. The presenter emphasizes the importance of carefully aligning the siding pieces at corners to avoid an unprofessional appearance, acknowledging a mistake he made earlier. He then confronts a new challenge: a previously unknown concrete footing along the base of the garage wall is interfering with the siding installation. This concrete needs to be broken off to allow for a flush installation of the bottom siding piece. The presenter expresses frustration but confirms the necessity of this demolition to achieve a flat surface for the siding.

Goal: Siding installation progresses, focusing on corner alignment and addressing a concrete obstruction that requires removal for proper fitting.

you can't do that even though I'll have trim and a little header I you're going to have this void spot here so I'm gonna have to cut a new piece that's long maybe even a full length sheet that way we minimize the amount of seams and that kind of brings me to the next note here is just because these are 16 Footers you can't just willingly stop slapping them on because your transitions are going to be in these weirdest funky places so I kind of have to watch it divide each section in two and then watch your seams foreign [Music] how killer does this look it finally starts looking like a house and not like a box a H well yeah half of a wall but I can only imagine what the rest would look like getting real for me folks [Music] you know siding doesn't suck as much as Roofing I think if I just had a choice to do something for the rest of my life it would uh I probably prefer siding than Roofing it's just all these little Cuts fortunately I don't have any like Outlets or anything out there it's just because it's an old house might pull one later but I'd rather not be on the roof right now oh and speaking of Ruth uh it rained really hard the last two days a whole hurricane Hillary is kind of going through the area and I went inside and double checked our brand new roof that was put on see if there's any leaking went into the the Atticus area and folks we're looking really good we did a damn good job and I'm glad I don't have to worry about any more storms [Music] we got an entire wall done in about probably three and a half hours looks fantastic now we're gonna start working on the front side of the house to get a little more curb appeal finally getting a lot of Headway a lot of the house is getting wrapped one thing you gotta really consider are these Corners because if you stagger them because I've already made that mistake and don't pay attention the lining then when it comes to putting the trim it's going to be a crappy looking job so make sure that you align them going forward mistake that I caught myself doing don't be caught sleeping oh there's my pry bar let's find it yeah but now I still gotta find my blue one
