Touch-Up Imperfect Ceiling Cut-ins

back and touch those up now there are scenarios where we are we're doing our cut-ins and then we're roll or we're rolling our first coat on a wall and then we're doing our cut ends and then we're doing our second coat and people ask me do you go back and two coat the cut-ins after that because typically when i'm doing my ceiling cut-ins themselves i'm trying to one coat the ceiling cut-ins but there's always probably 90 of the time there's always going to be touch-ups on the ceiling cuttings you don't have to go back and re-cut it all in and re-roll it with a four-inch roller but you'll do touch-ups and i'm gonna show you what the touch-ups look like i'm gonna get up right here this ceiling is pretty crooked because i haven't um i actually haven't done my two coat but i'm gonna give you an idea what i do cut in touch up wise now i can see light spots right here and you can't see those light spots from down below but this would kind of represent um if this wall was all done and i had light spots on my cuttings i'm not going to go back and re-cut it all in because of these light spots but my brush strokes goes in that direction it's going back and forth my roller's coming up to about here so there's going to be just touch-ups in this slight area right here what i do is i just take and i'm going to brush in the opposite direction instead of going back and forth any light spots i see i'm going to brush in a downward motion just like this and this is how i do my cut-ins and it goes a lot faster or how i do my touch-ups goes a lot faster than re-cutting it all in so i'm just going to go along just like this and do any light spot touch-ups along the ceiling and that's what i would consider right there my uh two coat on my cut-ins so um i'll just walk you through this real quickly this scenario itself to try to give you an understanding of it all it wants i'm going to come in mask everything off i'm going to roll a first coat on my walls get a first coat then i'm going to come back and i'm going to do sealing cut ins and any type of trim door jam window trim cut-ins move my way down the wall while that stuff is wet still wet i'm going to pull my tape pull my masking it's all going to dry and then i'm not going to have to two coat any of this stuff because the method i use by just staying away from my tape but my ceiling cut-ins i will go back and just touch them up in this fashion just like that just in a downward stroke along there and using a good quality paints…
