this is cristiano hayner here on paint live tv today i got three tips for you using the tower sealants reusable caulking tube [Applause] [Music] first tip i'm going to talk about is lubricating the tube about every 10 to 20 sausage packs that you put in here and use you're going to want to lubricate this plunger because it could get gunked up it could start running a little bit stiff so you want to lubricate it one of the ways i lubricate it is just with mineral oil i get these little small bottles of mineral oil with the um the reels that i buy for fishing and it's a very handy little thing to do another thing you can use is like cooking spray like pam cooking spray you can spray that down inside there that's a good lubricant itself but i just take my little bottle of lubricant which i just keep in my painting vehicle i just put a little dab of the lubricant down in there and then i just rub it around with my finger and rub it on the other side the plunger is up in the air at all and i'll just rub it inside that caulking tube there and i'm going to just take install my tube just going to run the plunger down until it hits that lubricant and then i'm going to flip it over push it down the opposite side and now my tube is lubricated all right tip number two is cutting your sausage packs open there's a lot of different ways you can cut your sausage packs open i like using a pair of wire cutters and you're gonna see these nippers right here they work really easily this size right here just gets around that band and then it just snaps it right off just like that very simple and easy a pair of wire cutters is a great little handy tool to have in your tool bag when you're caulking to clip the little band off all right tip number three is at the end of the day what do you do with your disposable caulking tube and your cap and your tip well if you're gonna be used using your caulking gun the next day all you got to do is just take a piece of tape put a piece of tape over the end of your caulking tube like this and that's going to keep it from drying out inside your tip right there another thing you can actually do is just take your tube out and this is what i typically do but take my tube out i'm going to take my cap and tip out and i'm just going to drop this into some warm water and then that's going to keep it from drying out when i come back the next day i'm just going to stick my cap back on put it back inside my gun and i'm ready to start caulking again so if you decide to just take your cap and your tip off and toss that in water if you don't want to waste a tube of caulking or have this dry out you could just take a piece of tape stick that over the end of your sausage pack like that and it's going to keep the end from drying out also there you have it three tips using the reusable caulking tube if you've ever used one yourself just leave your comments down in the comments section below what your experience is with it if you got any tips or tricks leave it down in the comments section below also if you haven't subscribed to our channel if you want to see more cool videos about uh products like these are more cool tools just subscribe hit the notification bell that way you get notified every time i come out with a new video it's simple and easy to do it's free now it's always been free and it'll be free forever i could always say we'll see you right here on tv next time
