Master Interior Painting. The Art of Touch-ups.

What happens here

For spackled nail holes, avoid common mistakes that lead to flat, noticeable spots. Instead of using a large flexible spackle knife to apply spackle, which can fill in the wall texture, apply a tiny amount of spackle directly into the hole with your finger. Immediately wipe off any excess spackle around the hole to preserve the surrounding wall texture. Once the spackle is completely dry, use a dry brush with minimal, diluted paint. Dab the paint onto the spackled area and gently feather the edges into the existing wall to blend it seamlessly, preventing sheen buildup.

Goal: Seamlessly conceal spackled nail holes while maintaining wall texture and avoiding sheen.
