Master Interior Painting. The Art of Touch-ups.

What happens here

Identify small scuff marks or minor imperfections on the wall. Dip the tip of your dry 2-inch angled sash brush into the thinned paint, ensuring only a tiny amount of paint is on the bristles. Lightly dab the paint directly onto the scuff mark. The key is to avoid using a wet brush or applying too much paint, as this can create noticeable sheen buildup. Gently feather out the edges of the dabbed paint with the dry brush to blend it into the surrounding wall. Repeat if necessary after the first layer dries, always using minimal paint.

Goal: This step demonstrates how to seamlessly touch up small scuff marks on a smooth wall by applying a minimal amount of thinned paint and feathering the edges.
