Masking With A 3M Hand Masker

What happens here

Take your loaded 3M Hand Masker and position it at an upper corner of the window you intend to mask. Carefully align the edge of the tape so that it slightly overlaps the window's vinyl frame, extending onto the glass by approximately 1/8 of an inch. This slight overlap is crucial for creating a crisp, clean paint line. Once aligned, firmly press the tape and masking film onto the top edge of the window frame. Proceed to pull the masker horizontally across the top of the window, ensuring the tape remains straight and the 1/8-inch overlap is maintained consistently. At the opposite end, tear the masking film, once again ensuring the tape extends slightly onto the vinyl frame.

Goal: Create a clean and secure top boundary for the masking film

of 3M 1 inch 2020 tape. We'll show you how we go about. We got this masking this window. We got the window right here. Going to get one corner started off at the top. And you want to get your tape set right to the very end, only about an eighth of an inch from the end of the vinyl on the window. Get a nice straight line at the top. Get a nice straight line. And you're going to pull your masking to right to another eighth of an inch to the other side of the window. And then you're going to cut your masking. And now your plastic set at the top of the window. Now you're going to pull it down. And we'll begin masking the sides of the windows now. And I typically go down about 3/4 of the way down the window. And I'm going to pull it and tack it onto the window.
