In this video, we're going to co show you a quick and simple tip, and that's using furniture sliders to move furniture around in a home. This is interior painting season. It's getting to be winter up here in Boise, Idaho. We're doing a lot of interior painting, and we're going to have a lot of furniture to move around. Typically, we require the the homeowners to move the furniture, but there's sometimes that the homeowners can't move it, and so we'll move it for them. And we use a product, and they're called furniture sliders, and we actually purchase these from Home Depot. They're manufactured and made by Home Depot. You can get them at your paint stores and other do-it-yourself places also. But we use these ones from Home Depot. They come eight in a pack. And it's actually just a piece of plastic, a smooth plastic with a piece of foam on the other side. And you just set those underneath the feet of the piece of furniture you want to slide. And it'll slide pretty easily over vinyl, carpet, and tile. So, you just take one of one of these little sliders and you're going to lift the furniture up just high enough to slide it under the feet and that way it'll move real easily. If you try to attempt to move a heavy furniture, piece of furniture like this, you could actually break one of the feet. So, it's important to use sliders and use some type of method that you're actually not dragging it along the floor, dragging it on the carpet. this piece of furniture. There's no way I can move this piece of furniture and slide it on here without damaging the carpet or um moving it by myself, but I can actually lift it up just enough to get one of these furniture sliders under there and it'll move easily. And we'll show you how we go about doing that. So, I'm going to get down to this piece of furniture and there's a lot of knickknacks on top this piece of furniture. This happens to be my piece of furniture, so I'm not worried about them. And it's just for, you know, show purposes of moving this furniture. I'm not going to move them. But if you're dealing with a customer's house, you want to take and take everything off the furniture and then attempt to move it. So, we're just going to take one of these sliders. Going to lift up this piece of furniture, set that slider underneath the feet, and I'm going to put one under each foot this piece of furniture. So, remove them from my package. Got one under those two feet. I want to put them on the other ones. Now I got them on all four feet. And you'll see how easy this piece of furniture is to move. I can just take and now slide it easily and the feet won't catch on the carpet and possibly break. Now I can easily move this piece of furniture out to the middle of the room, get behind it, do my painting. When I'm done, just going to slide it back in position. And that's how you move around furniture pretty easily in an interior paint job.
