What happens here

The painter climbs the step ladder and carefully positions the masking machine against the ceiling. It's important to keep the machine about 1/8 inch away from the wall to allow for slight overhang coverage when painting, which helps in achieving a clean edge, especially on textured surfaces. He then firmly holds the machine and slowly walks backward, pulling it along the ceiling edge. This action continuously dispenses both the masking tape, which adheres to the ceiling, and the masking paper, which hangs down to cover the adjacent wall. He continues this motion until he reaches the maximum extent of his arm's reach.
