Laying down a Seal Krete high performance floor. Epoxy floor course coming. #industrial #epoxy
What happens here
After the epoxy base coat with the flakes has fully cured (typically 12-24 hours depending on the product and conditions), any loose, unadhered flakes are first removed using a leaf blower, blowing them towards one side of the garage. Then, a floor scraper is used to gently scrape the entire surface. This process knocks off any vertically oriented flakes that are sticking up, creating a smoother, more even surface for the topcoat. The scraped flakes are collected into a box lined with a plastic bag.
Goal: Smooth the flake layer by removing loose and upright flakes
