Lacquer or Paint for Cabinets? What is a BETTER finish?

What happens here

The video then introduces the use of glazes, specifically Sherwin Williams' 'Sherwood Glaze' (Dark Wood Glaze, Burnt Brown Glaze). Glazes are applied over a cured base coat (like a lacquer) to create specialized aesthetic effects, such as an antiqued or distressed look. This technique is particularly useful for enhancing the character of older cabinet doors or camouflaging imperfections. It's noted that these specialized glazes, similar to the lacquers, are generally sourced from the Sherwin Williams cabinet division rather than standard retail stores, with limited stock colors typically available.

And so we go to the Sher Williams cabinet division. It's a completely different store. All they deal with is lacquers and cabinet coatings and these type of lacquer coatings. So it's completely specialized. Um and this is the Sherwood Glaze. That's where that came from. We absolutely love the G glazes.
