Prepare and Predrill for New Screws

Kitchen drawer slider broke
What happens here
Place the removed drawer upside down on a protected surface (like a countertop with a towel). Position the detached slider mechanism back into its correct place on the drawer's wooden frame. Using the pencil, mark the spots where new screws will be inserted into the side and bottom of the frame, ensuring these locations avoid the previously split wood. Take the 9/64 inch countersink drill bit and, using the cordless drill, carefully pre-drill pilot holes at each marked location. Only drill deep enough to create a starting point for the screws, preventing further splitting of the wood. The presenter suggests using a shorter wood screw to ensure it doesn't drill all the way through the bottom of the drawer.
Goal: Create new, stable attachment points for the drawer slider.
