Kitchen Cabinet Refinishing. Installing Cabinet Bumpers

What happens here

The video begins by explaining that after painting or refinishing cabinet doors, especially when painting the backsides, the original bumpers are often removed. If new bumpers are not installed, the cabinet doors can create noise when closing and potentially chip the new paint finish. The presenter emphasizes that even with durable 2K poly industrial coatings, new bumpers provide a 'nice added touch' for the customer by ensuring a soft and quiet close.

Goal: Learn why replacing or adding cabinet bumpers is important for freshly painted cabinets to prevent chipping and reduce noise when closing. This step highlights the benefits of this small addition.
