What happens here
Once all bricks are laid and the edge restraints are in place, spread polymeric sand generously over the entire patio surface. Use a stiff-bristled push broom to sweep the sand into all the joints between the bricks. Continue sweeping and adding sand until all joints are completely filled. After the joints are filled, lightly mist the entire patio surface with water according to the polymeric sand manufacturer's instructions. This activates the polymers, causing the sand to harden and lock the bricks in place, which helps prevent weed growth and insect infestation.
Goal: Fill the paver joints with polymeric sand to stabilize the patio and inhibit weeds
