What happens here
This video demonstrates the step-by-step installation of a FLOE floating dock system on a farm pond. The process involves moving the dock to the desired location using a tractor, attaching specialized brackets and connectors, and deploying the dock into the water, securing it with unique auger-style anchoring poles driven into the pond bed.

there folks this is Josh Stoney Ridge farmer welcome back to another gorgeous day out here on the Stoney Ridge Farm we're at the farm pond and today we're going to be putting in a flow floating dock system it's a lifetime dock system you guys are going to enjoy this video come along as we show you how to install a floating dock on your pond it's a very unique design with some very unique features and it's American made right there in Minnesota awesome guys come on let's have some fun let's get this dock in [Music] foreign folks welcome to the Stoney Ridge Farm if this is your first time here or your 50th time please hit that like button subscribe the channel I'd love to have you back just saw a little bass jumping in the pond right there so this is our two and a half acre Pond right here on the side of the road at our farm you'll hear a few cars going by here this is the most publicly viewed pond on the property and therefore we really wanted to put a showpiece out here in the pond now this is the flow floating dock and I've got it pushed off into the water a little bit more than it needs to be we're actually going to be installing this dock over here and I had some ideas but I contacted Flo and talked to him a little bit and my idea was the wrong idea I was going to roll it out there paddle it over to where it needed to go and then push it up on the bank and then hook up the ramp instead I've got to pick it back out pick it up with a tractor we got the tym over there and carry it over here across the dam now let's walk over here and we'll show you the ramp system and we'll talk a little bit about how this is going to go before we start dropping the dock in the water so right here in the pond I see a bluegill right there nice big pan fish this is a great Pond for fishing their bass all in here and I came over yesterday and I mowed these Banks so that we could see exactly what's going on thank goodness we live in a wonderful place where people think it's appropriate to constantly throw trash in the pond from the main road right here let me know what you think about that guys so as we walk down this is where our dock is going to be installed there's another good looking pan fish down in the water right there so we're going to install the dock somewhere between this point and this point we have anchors on the dock and I'll show you those so on the end of the dock and this will all make sense to you will be two brackets those two brackets will hold these two posts these two posts will go down in the water and anchor this dock so there'll be no ropes coming off the dock and you don't have to Anchor the ramp system to the ground you just anchor the dock to the mud and muck down in the pond now this Pond is approximately seven feet deep out in the Middle where our Dock's going to be installed so we might have to move things around just a little bit to figure out the best possible place to install this dock it may be that we need to move it over here I'm just not positive guys so let's go ahead we'll hook the tractor to it pull it out we'll install all the bracketry and show you how that works and we'll show you how the anchor system works it's really really cool very well thought out here's a problem see that that's muskrat muskrat has dug back into my Pawn Dam and right down there is causing the pond dam to leak this is the reason we can't have muskrats in the pond we've got muskrats in this Pond and we've got muskrats in the pond that we installed the dock in yesterday bummer I have to get on this and I'm gonna have to use this dock as a hunting platform I do believe so we got to get this dock back out and I'm just going to take the front end of the tractor and the quick attach on the front and lift this up and drag it back out we'll put it about right here in a level spot and then we'll get busy installing all the hardware super simple guys this should only take me about 35 minutes we're gonna drop the pallet Forks that's what we'll use to tote the dock across the dam we're going to use these little quick connects on the front of the loader to hook in and pick that dock up so let's get in here this is a tymt 574 tractor fire this Critter up get this air condition going that's what it means it attaches quickly now we're unhooked from our pallet port we got Parts flying off show butt back over here uh oh where'd it go we gotta be able to find that without getting bit by something oh man it's a good thing we got extra parts you can learn a lot from a dummy it's just slid right down the dock we've got the dock over here where we're going to put it we're going to be pushing the dock off into the pond but why not while we have the pallet forks go ahead and install all the bracketry while it's up in the air so this is a bracket that holds two rods that go down into the muck into the mud and anchor this dock into place and we're going to mount this centered eight inches from the edge very very simple the dock system here has a Groove in it right there a channel that you can hold various things in other words flow has chairs flow has slips flow has other docks so you can make this a totally modular system I don't want to say the word Lego but it fits together much like an erector set or a Lego set for your pond or your lake so if you're out on a bigger Lake then this little two and a half acre Farm Pond then you can build an elaborate dock the material that the dock is made made of is really something special I'm going to bring you in and get you a little close-up of it the other dock that we did had a wood finish this dock has a gray finish now the gray finish is going to be cooler on your feet so if you're walking barefoot out to get in your boat this is the color that I'd recommend the other color will get a little bit warmer in the summer months so so if you live in a cool environment you may want to go with the wood duck the wood really looks good it's a powder coated wood grain and this is a powder coated gray so in various locations on the dock you have this little cutout right here the cutout is totally set to fit the bolts that mount things up in here and this is a nylon locking nut so we'll stick that guy in we'll get them slightly started just like so and then that slides down to the end and we'll do the next one just like so we'll get it slightly started about three threads in there and then that slides down to the end then we'll repeat this process down here and that will line up with our holes in our mounting bracket that's cool in the mounting bracket go these long tubes on the ends of the tubes go these anchors and these anchors just screw right into the pond muck so let's get busy and get this installed we're almost ready to roll the dock in we've got one more thing we have to install which is the attachment point for the ramp all right guys so we've got that bracket installed now we've got to install the bracket on the far end to put our ramp on then we'll put it out in the water on the ramp which will be facing this way is a bracket right there this is a six inch bracket that takes a rod through that tube right there so we've got to mount up our brackets on the dock section so that this will Mount up and we'll just slide our pin right through there so the basic gist of this is we have a rubber piece that makes that transition so your dog doesn't get his toenails stuck in there or you don't accidentally stub your toe that will go right here the ramp will be this way so the moving portion will be the longer portion on this awesome little Rubber seal these pieces get mounted right up here along with a little piece of bracketry this again is super simple all we do is drop our nuts right into this groove right here everything's indexed and set up so we can just Bam Bam Bam get it done by by the way congratulations everybody give Flo a special hand pat on the back 40 years their 40th anniversary is coming up guys and we'll be up there in Minnesota for their 40th anniversary if you guys work at flow this video is coming out the day of your 40th anniversary that is so cool and this is my 46th birthday there's a lot of stuff going on here guys [Music] thank you [Music] be sure you torque them to the right spec I've got this drill set to torque them to the right spec right use a torque wrench guys he's got everything torqued to spec for our ramp all we have to do is slide these two big pins I think they're graphite all this stuff is designed to where it'll last for a very very long time and it won't rust that's what's up so let's go ahead and we'll set her down in there and start nudging it out into the water and then we'll bolt up the ramp [Music] [Applause] [Music] foreign simple enough this thing is light enough to where we can just lift and position slide our pin into place there boost get that one started we'll go on the other side [Music] there's a little plate right here that goes over this pin to hold it in place keep it from slipping out and over time the dock will be moving up and down with the level of the water so there is potential for it to slide out [Applause] now we're ready to get the whole dock in the water and it couldn't happen any sooner my hat is soaking wet it's about 92 now toasty [Music] the benefit of the flow dock is it's super lightweight we're gonna shut the tractor down we're gonna take the poles out and show you how they install [Music] so when you order your dock your poll will be set to the depth that you tell them to set it at there's an auger that goes on the tip and then there's a nut and bolt kit that goes with the auger so you cannot put the auger on before you drop it down through the mounting bracket okay so you've got to be a little bit smart here I stuck a socket extension in here just to hold this up and be careful don't drop this because you get one chance right let's get her down here we'll lean on over the edge of the dock and get her installed all right that's it got to get that first bolt in then we can get our nut and our washer in place I'm gonna drop that sounded like spec to me up we go we'll lower our pole down to the mud and there she blows that's in the mud actually want to raise this up and I'm going to position the dock out just a little bit go back up a little out of the mud socket extension in there rotate the dock well not so far buddy pin out Anchors Away yeah nice we'll grab the next one we'll repeat this process first one's a little tougher than the second one slide it in the slot extension in place all right don't fall so we know what the auger looks like he'll feel the cameras a little unsteady I have a piece of rebar here and there are holes indexed throughout this Rod so as you go down you can exchange which hole you're going to use to turn this dock down in now we want it to be as stable as possible so I'm actually going to rock it this way and then jab it down in the mud so let's bring her back up okay there's that good Breeze and now drop okay slide right in here we can turn it by hand the first five or ten turns and we'll start feeling that we're in Solid Ground so we go down through muck about that deep and then we're into Solid Ground and we'll just start auguring down okay we'll auger this one a bit and then we'll move on over to this one for a bit let me tell you why I chose this doc system because I didn't know what in the world to do to Anchor my dock out in the pond without its swaying and without it being Tethered to the bank with a rope and having to weed whack around that rope this is the solution no Pierce to drive and if you decide to move away from your lake house you can pick this up and move it that is a duck right there that is awesome guys I am absolutely roasting and I see a potential place for a nice flagpole guys this is the flow floating dock that's how it's installed you can extend this dock as long as you want to you can put boat slips on here you can put floats for your jet skis we don't have any jet skis in here but I am going to go buy a paddle boat today folks thank you so much for joining me here on the Stoney Ridge Farm today this is the install of a floating dock awesome hope you enjoyed hit that like button ask any question you might have we'll see you next time on the Stony Bridge so that's what that looks like on the inside I've got a little bit too excited with the mower whoopsie it's dark time baby get your dock on included with this they're going in the dirt got trash bouncing on my dock today got a three-day beard I don't plan to shave do the thing but I just gotta see I'm a docking all right goes right here and blows away and goes in the pond hey buddy hey stay [Music] it's time for me to go swimming you still here see you guys next time pick another video right here watch it it's a good time
