Defining Expansion Joints

control the cracking. An expansion joint is usually uh placed with a thought process in mind of movement. So, maybe that looks like a coal joint. Maybe that's a structural beam uh that has needs that expansion. Maybe that's where the stem wall meets the floor. That's really more of an expansion joint. Uh we're kind of using the phrase just as a general there, but a true control joint saw cut like we have here in a garage.
