What happens here

Once the initial rinsing is complete, rinse the empty muriatic acid bottle and the plastic pump sprayer thoroughly with water in a dirt area to dilute any residual acid before proper disposal. After the floor has dried, which usually takes overnight, inspect the concrete surface. Check for consistent roughness, aiming for a texture similar to 100-grit sandpaper. If any areas are still too smooth (e.g., due to heavier oil stains or insufficient acid application), re-apply diluted muriatic acid to those specific spots. After re-etching, power wash the entire floor one final time to remove any remaining concrete dust and ensure the surface is perfectly clean and profiled for epoxy application.
