Shut Off Water and Relieve Pressure

What happens here

Locate the main water shut-off valve, typically found in a meter box near the street or property line. Use an adjustable wrench or appropriate pliers to turn the valve off, stopping the flow of water to the property. Once the main supply is off, open an outdoor hose bib at the house to relieve any remaining water pressure in the pipes, which is essential before cutting into the PEX line.
