What happens here
After holes are precisely cut into the deck stairs for the recessed step lights, feed the light's wiring through the opening. Position the light fixture into the cutout. Use a drill to pre-drill pilot holes for the mounting screws. Secure the light fixture with screws. Then, attach the rubber gasket (for waterproofing and a snug fit) and the painting clip, which may be part of a temporary cover or trim for painting purposes, before the final cover plate is added.
Goal: Recess-mount the step lighting fixtures into the deck stairs.

- Cordless Drill/Driver DeWalt — Pre-drilling holes and driving screws
