Install Deck Railing Posts and Sections

What happens here

Install the top-mounted aluminum posts for the railing system. The video uses 'Decorators ALX Contemporary' pre-assembled welded railing sections, which are designed to be 6 feet on center. First, attach the hardware (brackets) to both ends of a railing section. Position the railing section and post, then screw the post base securely to the deck. It is crucial to have double blocking underneath the deck boards where the posts are installed, so the screws (e.g., GRK or LedgerLOK) go into solid wood, providing maximum stability. After fastening, the base trim and post cap are added.
