Okay, day in the life as an electrician installing new network racks for a data center. Let's get right to it. So, the first thing I do is I wake up, I get my DeWalt tools together. My dad is a master electrician and we work together on jobs along with my brother. We are small contractor in New Jersey. Today's service calls that we have to install three new network racks for a data center. And in a data center, you have to run plenum rated electrical lines under the floor since they are fireproof. So, my job is that I had to run 6 10 4 MC cables from the RPP to the new network racks. RPP stands for remote power panel. My dad is using a DeWalt drill with a stepper bit to make a knockout inside the panel so we can feed our wires. We got our wires ran to the locations, installed six pin and sleeve connectors, and left the plugs under the floor so when the IT guys come to put the new racks in, they got power. Breaker terminations complete. Job complete. Customer satisfied. I put my tools away, and that's what a day looks like as an electrician.
