I usually shy away from building curves in to decks, but incorporating curves in to a patio? Love it

What happens here

Begin the project by establishing the primary circular border of the patio. Carefully place the small, rounded interlocking pavers along the predetermined circular layout. Ensure each paver is tightly fitted against the previous one. Use a rubber mallet to gently tap each paver into place, ensuring it is level with its neighbors and firmly seated on the prepared base. This step sets the foundation and defines the main shape of the patio.

Goal: Create the outer edge of the circular patio

Tools and materials

  • Knee Pads — Providing comfort and protection to knees during prolonged kneeling
  • Rubber Mallet — Tapping pavers into place to ensure they are level and firmly seated without causing damage
  • Safety Gloves — Protecting hands from abrasions and irritation during paver handling
  • Small Rounded Interlocking Pavers — Creating the curved borders and decorative edges of the patio and pathway
  • String Line — Guiding the curve for accurate paver placement
