I Put the ToolTuff HyperSplit to Work — Here's What Happened
What happens here
For standard-sized logs that can be easily lifted, operate the log splitter in its horizontal position. Use a chainsaw to cut large logs into manageable lengths (up to 22 inches long). If available, a mini excavator can assist in moving and positioning heavier logs onto the splitter's beam. Place a log onto the horizontal beam. With one hand, operate the control lever to extend the ram and split the log. The machine's 6-second cycle time allows for quick processing. Once split, remove the pieces of wood. Be aware that logs with uneven or slanted cuts may sometimes cause the wood to wedge against the splitter's metal hooks.
Goal: Split logs efficiently in horizontal mode
