(4,305 characters)I've been running this robot lawn mower for over three months now. This is the Mimotion Luba Mini all-wheel drive robot lawn mower. This mower is the 800H model. It has a cutting adjustment from 2.2 in all the way up to 4 in. The all-wheel drive will handle a 38.6° slope and it's designed for quarter acre size lawns. They make bigger models as well, but this was what I needed. I first saw one of these at the Equip Expo in Louisville, Kentucky last year, and really wanted to try one out. I'm not a super tech-savvy person, but I found the setup to be quite easy. This box is packed exactly how you would think a robot mower would be packed for shipping. Very organized and snug, so nothing could move. I took everything out of the box, set it up on my workbench to look it all over. The setup diagram in the box is easy to follow, and it comes with tools for assembly. You will want to download the Motion app on your phone. This is how you will control your robot lawn mower. There are QR codes that you can scan and watch installation videos on setup as well as repair. These are really helpful if you are new to this like me. This system has no perimeter wire that needs to be ran. It connects with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and RTK. You will need power wherever you decide to put your base station in your RTK receiver. This can prove to be hard, and you may have to adjust your strategy a couple of times like I did. The RTK can be mounted on its pole and stuck into the ground of the yard or mounted on a structure. Because of the shape of my yard, I opted to mount my RTK receiver on the corner of my house. You will need extra tools if you go this route. I needed a ladder, a drill motor, and some wood screws. This gave me the best coverage for my yard, and it worked out so much better than I expected with being able to tuck the wire into the siding and out of sight. I tried to put my charging station under an overhang in my shop to keep it out of the elements, but it couldn't connect to the receiver. Don't worry, the mower is waterproof. It's designed to be out in the elements. They do sell a doghouse separately if you wanted to keep it covered. The charging station comes with long plastic lags that will secure it into the ground or concrete acres for mounting on a slab. The charging station needs to be on a level surface. We opted to go inside the garden on the grass edge. I mean, I may pour a pad or install a pa at some point, but for right now, this area works really well. You can do multiple cutting areas and different designs in your yard. And with the Ultra Sense AI vision, this little robot will auto map your yard for you. This is quite a cool little piece of technology. Once this is all set up, all you have to do is open your app, select your desired length of grass, and press play. Your mower will start mowing, whether it's day or night. I mow my yard twice a week with just the push of a button. My neighbors all have their gas mowers and I know when they start mowing with the Lubo. All I hear is slight grass trimming noise. Nothing that would make you grab ear muffs. And I love watching this thing mow at night. There's built-in headlights and I think it freaks out my neighbors. The Luba also has a built-in camera that you can check in the app while it's mowing, which I have used a few times when I was out of town. It kind of makes me feel like I've got a robot security rolling around my yard. Once your RTK receiver and your base station are plugged in and your mower's charged up, you're ready to fire up your app. Your app will act as a controller for your mower and you will walk behind it, mapping out your cutting area. Instead of big lawn mower blades, now my yard is cut by razor blades, taking off an inch or less every time it mows. This is a great timesaver. And now all I have to do is trim. All right, folks. That's what I got for you today. All right, I really hope the videos are helping the DIY projects, the cool tools I've been showing. I really hope you folks have enjoying the content.
