I hope this works | Catfish Disappeared from the pond!
What happens here
Connect the non-weighted air tubing to the aeration pump system using a press-fit connection. Make sure to create a 'drip loop' to prevent water from tracking directly into the pump system. If necessary, a hose clamp can be added for extra security. Unreel the non-weighted tubing along the edge of the pond. Then, connect the non-weighted tubing to the weighted air tubing using a barbed connector and secure it with two stainless steel hose clamps tightened with a screwdriver. Emphasize that this is not a high-pressure system, so extreme tightening is not required, just enough to prevent separation.
Goal: Establish air flow from the pump to the aerator and position the tubing.
Tools and materials
- Barbed Connector — Joining non-weighted and weighted air tubing
- Non-Weighted Air Tubing — Connecting pump to weighted tubing and extending along pond edge
- Screwdriver — Tightening hose clamps
- Stainless Steel Hose Clamps — Securing tubing connections
- Weighted Air Tubing — Submerging air line to the aerator stone
