I hope this works | Catfish Disappeared from the pond!
What happens here
Attach the aerator stone to the end of the weighted air tubing by press-fitting the tubing onto the stone's barb fitting. Secure the connection with a multi-tool if needed. To safely deploy the aerator stone to the bottom of the pond and ensure easy retrieval, attach a string to the bottom of the aerator stone. Tie the other end of this string to the handle of a black bucket. Then, tie a longer string to the handle of the bucket, and tie the end of *that* string to a plastic duck decoy. The duck decoy will float on the surface, marking the aerator's location and allowing you to pull it out for maintenance.
Goal: Safely place the aerator stone at the pond bottom for aeration.
