What happens here

Install 16-inch extendable drawer slides to both the inside of the cabinet carcass and the assembled drawer boxes. Use a specialized drawer slide jig or a custom block to ensure precise and consistent placement, aligning the slides perfectly with the cabinet's face frame offset. Mark screw locations, pre-drill, and secure the slides with appropriate screws. Then, temporarily attach the selected pine drawer faces to the drawer boxes from the front using small screws through pre-drilled holes in the drawer faces. Pull the drawer box open, remove the temporary screws, and then drive 1-inch screws from the inside of the drawer box into the back of the drawer face to permanently secure it.

Goal: Attach drawer slides to the cabinet and drawer boxes, then temporarily position drawer faces and permanently secure them from the inside.
