What happens here

Live edge walnut slabs are cut to precise dimensions using a track saw to create the countertops for the built-in unit. These slabs are then carefully placed and aligned on top of the cabinet framework. For the seams where two slabs meet, a Festool Domino jointer is used to create precise mortises, which are then filled with wood glue and specialized Domino tenons (or biscuits) for a strong and seamless joint. This process ensures the countertops are perfectly flush and appear as one continuous piece. Once assembled, any excess glue is wiped away, and the countertops are clamped to cure.

Goal: Create and install custom live edge walnut countertops.

Tools and materials

, we cut, level, and install. This is the same walnut slab we used for the office desk. I don't know if you saw that video. The best and coolest tech office you've ever seen in your life . It's an expensive thing, but it looks good. Hello Home Depot. Are you thinking the same thing as me? Too wide, huh? You might have to trim it a little. Quite a bit. And by " a little bit" I mean about three inches. I'm OK, I need to set it up to cut in half- inch increments. I think it would be better that way. Why do you have to cut it into pieces? Well, of course, you can just walk through it all at once. The problem is that this is a big load on the canvas, and if we want to get a perfect joint, it is better to cut in small parts so that the canvas does not bend or move. So, half an inch at a time. Kyle, I told you, you can learn more about this at The Builder's Lodge. Whatever you need for home renovations, I'm here to help. This is a tight fit . Oh, it looks much better when cut to size. This is simply incredible. The transition is seamless. Hell, I'm actually an interior designer. I design so passionately. Very enthusiastic.
