(19,991 characters)On this channel we have tackled many different projects, from an abandoned house that was completely falling apart and there was nothing left to save. This is absolutely ridiculous. Anyway, this building is off the ground. What makes that side of the garage look lower than this side of the garage? 80 and a half. 77 and a half. I hadn't realized before how badly this bowed. This wall is 3 to 4 inches shorter than the wall here. Even building an A-frame cabin in the woods with little access, roads and everything going wrong. Well, today we face our most ambitious project yet. Wait, why is he so ambitious? Because we only have 4 months to finish it. And I just noticed something. Your tire is flat. That's not movie magic, folks. This is real life. Behind me is a house in the suburban area of Boise that we call the mid- century miracle. And I'm going to explain exactly why it's a miracle. Was it fixed? Yes, it's not deflated. Oh, thank God. I thought it was a flat tire. It turns out I was only grazing the curb on the low profiles. Whatever it is, things are already improving. I feel like they're going to yell at me in a second. I hope this isn't a bad sign or a bad omen because I don't need it to be . I love, first of all, how welcoming and inviting this metal cage out front is, and the no entry sign is great. Very similar to a prison. Very similar to a prison. Forget about the "no soliciting" rule. That's old school. This, this is [ __ ], huh ? Look at those panels. It's not that I haven't seen it before, just a brief guided tour once. Now I remember everything. Let 's put it that way. This is the most random room. I love it. It's beautiful and big. It has these sliding roller shutter doors, I suppose. Well, it's made of plastic. One and a third, perhaps, for privacy. Yes. This is great. Can you imagine children playing with this and breaking it? Oh, yes, immediately. So, there should be like a living room and then a sitting room. They usually had them from the 70s to the 90s. That's true. Yes. Is this consistent and large? It's a shame they didn't have any long-pile rugs. Long hair, I know. In fact, I've never had long hair. Part of me thought we could knock down the kitchen wall, but I know there's a laundry room installed back there. Sister, as long as these beams are not supported by this and it is not a load-bearing wall, this wall is crumbling . Yes. Wouldn't it be great if we could have one kind of arch and another arch as well? That would be so nice. That would be the coolest thing. Yes. Plus, it's really easy to do, which is great. Let me hold on to these railings because I feel like you're going to give me some ideas that I'll need to prepare for. Okay, a great mirror. Say hi to everyone, Kyle. Yes. Put your face behind the camera. Here we have our first dressing table. Not bad. Actually, it's a full bathroom. A full bathroom. It's not bad at all. For the age of this house, it has linoleum that isn't peeling off. It's impressive. Most of it is peeling off. We have the classic 4x4 square prison style tile. Prison style? Yes. It's coming off. Although this one comes back with a different texture. The square? Oh, really? Is this coming back? The square. Who is recovering it? Someone did it and everyone loves it. If you think this is bringing back the style... No, not this exact style. What are you looking at? The screws? No. Dude, oh, the tile work. This is crazy. 78 years, 1978 is a house, so it's 48, 50 years old. One of my things in every tile job I do is to try to improve by 1% on the next one, right? Make sure everything floats and things are aligned. And we always attribute it to the craftsmanship of that era. The craftsman who did this tile work was impeccable. Dude, your sights aren't aligned. Well, that was aligned, and then the pattern...And then I love the ladder here. It advances an eighth of an inch slowly, then it improves, and then it aligns perfectly . Dude, I don't want to be that kind of person. I don't like that. Because I'm not a ...I'm not a merchant. I'm just a self-taught person who learns to do it yourself. So I don't want to criticize other people, but there are certain things that make you think, "Dude, that's not right. Oh, that's great." Oh, how beautiful. A small cubicle. Beautiful. A small dispenser there. I like it. It'll go in the trash, but I like it. Do you remember the classic mirror that opens? Yes, the medicinal mirror. Have you ever seen one of those Instagram videos where someone is singing a song? Yes, with the reverberation. The reverberation and then they say, "I think you should do that." Well, that's it, I mean, the inspection, this is when I came in here when the inspector was checking it out, is there a water leak under this toilet or this faucet? So that's fine. Not bad. He said, "There's no mold. You can see it's accumulating." And there's another water leak. They have it. Yes. But slowly. Let's get her out of here once and for all, and then we can move on to everything else. Well, that wasn't very strong. Or you're just very strong. You don't know your own strength. No, these are just anchors. The smallest anchors. I'm going to fix this as the first project I fix here. Put the baby back in. Like new. I think you shouldn't touch it. Fun fact, I remember that you got your real estate agent license a year ago . Yes. Well, this is the first house he found for us, and we bought it to renovate it. And let me tell you, you did a very good job. Well, that's what stressed me out a lot . There was a lot of stress involved because Alex gave me a task, and the task was to find another repairman. Oh. Then find me a repairman. So, two tasks. The sandwich never arrived, but we got a house. That's great. We have a house. Well, I actually found this house and we made an offer before Alex even saw it. It's from 1978. The owners, I think the husband died of old age and I think the mother went to a nursing home. But we're not sure. We 're not sure. We're just speculating, you know, spilling the beans . And the tea is boiling to invent stories in our heads. The tea is hot. And I like it a lot. Later I'll explain why I like it so much, and perhaps it's a piece of advice that if you're looking for a house that needs renovations to sell or to keep, there are some things you should keep in mind that will help you along the way. I'll mention them as we go along, but first, why don't we appreciate the fact that there's a 1 square foot radius here? We have three different flooring options. We have honey oak. We have long gray carpet and then we have short beige carpet. And it's a good palate cleanser. Oh, and if you're part of our private community, you probably already know about this house and the tea; you'll already be aware. By the way, Alex just learned what tea means and now uses it whenever he can. I did it. I'm learning how to use it. I saw an ad for bar stools and Dave Portnoy said, "And the tea is nice and hot." And I thought, "Ah, that's how it's done." I 'm using it. So, have you used it at least three times? Yes, it turns out you can't say the coffee is nice and hot. Hey, this is great. I know it's old, but it also has that kind of cool style. A great style. Oh, that wardrobe is great too. Look, it has this vibe. Yes. It's actually quite surprising to see it in an old house like this. This was definitely done later, without a doubt. Yes, this is something personalized, like what we have at home, right? Like in one of the closets. I feel like you did something similar to this. I did it. And it's not a big deal. It 's not a big deal. Um, nice blinds. Very impressive. To be honest with you, in the houses of that time, they definitely used solid wood in everything, from the window sills to the frames and moldings. They're not the coolest designs, as you can see, but they're good quality. And a fun fact: all these windows have been improved from the originals. So, these are all vinyl windows. I don't know where they are in the level support, but many of them are elegant enough that, if they are opened twice, like I did, I can't open them. I ca n't open them. Well, this window won't open. Again . So, let's replace this window. Am I doing something wrong? I have it. Ta-da! But they're all new windows, which is great because you're saving money. He also said that it opens backwards. It slides to the other side. Well, we'll have to read the user agreement. Oh, it opens both ways. Yes. We have the oven. Some of you will have many opinions about this. Why would they have a boiler in the hallway? That's going to be very noisy when they're sleeping . Imagine all the dust. What if my cat says...? I don't know. Friend, it's here. This boiler was installed in 2024. This is a new and robust unit. We have an old house with a good structure and new windows. That's not a window. That's a window. And a new boiler. Is it just me, or are these handles pretty? How are you. I even noticed that light over there. Well, they're not my favorites, but they're... Yes. Well, it's a... It looks like a pantry, but it's a nice hallway cupboard, a linen closet , I guess. Yes. Another wardrobe. There are like three closets inside. I mean , people like closets, so... Bedroom number two. A little smaller, maybe a little bigger. Yes. Again, the windows, the HVAC system runs through the ductwork properly, and a slightly larger closet. I don't know what they were thinking with this doorway opening when they put the carpet in . To me, it's telling me that the carpet was put down later. Then, yes. There is no light here. Piles of popcorn roofs. I've never removed it . I've watched tons of videos on how to do it. And if you have something like, "Dude, you have to do it this way." Send me a message. Let me know because I want to... In fact , I hate the part where I have to rip it out. Don't you just pick up a brush and the brush? No, you're supposed to spray this chemical like in a pump, spray it on, then put on your PPE, and then you use a drywall knife and scrape it off. That seems like a lot of work. Oh, I love this. And how could I not have noticed? What? Look at this duct. Oh. The guy says, " Dude, I know about ductwork, but not about electricity. Or drywall, I guess." And here's the thing. At least it's even until the end. Here's the thing, I appreciate that part. It says: "I need... Well done." Do you know what it was? No, no , I take back everything I said. Okay, fine, why do they need two light switches? Here, I reverse-engineered. This is what I came up with. Did you just ...? There it is. I thought it wouldn't turn back on. Well, it took a second. Do you know what I think happened? I think this is the main one. This is the main one, for sure. Yes, because there is a bathroom. But, they're an older couple, right? We have handrails throughout the house. They don't want to get up. So, you have your bedside table in the middle of the night, you need to get up , turn on the lights so you can walk . Now, the good thing is that, God bless them, they put this in. They have digital or wireless switches that you can install. So if you have a light there, you can hit this thing here and it will have a receiver. But, God bless them, this is great. I know it's a security issue, so that's fine. What do you think about that? Do you want me to lie to you or do you want me to be honest with you? Be honest. I love it. In fact, I don't hate him. I was just joking about loving him. I don't hate him, and this is why. Because this pattern is unique, we could prime and paint it. Painting, that's what I was thinking. However, all these knots here will be noticeable. So, either you spend a lot of time trying to finish it, or you spend some of your time taking it apart and then just put on a different kind of pattern. Yes. Part of me hates taking it apart, but maybe we should add more layers, right? So , keep this and then maybe you'll think of something else. Like what? Triangles. What would you put on top of that? Desperately waiting for you to say, "Yes, yes, yes, we'll think of something." Dude, in the front and back yards , the grass is irreparably dead, I think. I mean , it's kind of curling up. It looks like Joshua Tree National Forest. And my concern is that, since I have so little time for this house before we have to put it on the market, I don't know if I'll have enough time to bring it back to life other than taking everything apart, and I don't want to do that. So, in fact, I've been working on something behind the scenes so I can do both things at the same time, right? To give it the proper nutrition, make sure your sprinklers are fixed, water at one or one and a half inches per week so the roots grow very deep, give it the proper nutrients, but at the same time continue working on this house. This could be the perfect solution. Look what I have. Well, there it is. That's the Limo 1 Plus robotic lawnmower , and that's the secret to making sure my lawn at the new property is well-maintained, but at the same time I can get work done and remodel the house. I'll be completely honest with you, I've always had my doubts about robotic lawnmowers, and here's why. I like to keep my lawn between 3, 3 and 1/2, sometimes even 4 inches long, and every time I see commercials I think that it's just not enough power to get through it. Well, I was wrong. The Limo 1 Plus robotic lawnmower is an absolute monster. This thing weighs less than 80 pounds. I think it's 35.6 kg. That gives it enough weight and traction to get in and out of your lawn. Secondly, I was concerned about the actual speed of the blade. Well, guess what? This beauty operates at 6000 RPM. Those blades spin so fast that it 's actually faster than my electric push mower, which ranges between 2400 and 4000 RPM. 6000! I love that you can precisely adjust the platform height using just the app on your phone, and that it's measured in millimeters . So, I'm currently set to approximately 3 to 3.5 inches of platform height, which is about, I think, 85-90 mm. Very well, and one of the biggest concerns I've had regarding robotic lawnmowers is landscape design. I have many small details, as well as curbs and gravel that I wanted it to avoid. Well, thanks to RTK real-time kinematics, it uses centimeter-level GPS accuracy to navigate my backyard, making sure it gets the job done and stays in the right place. The tracks of the Limo 1 Plus are so strong and durable that, with their weight and traction, they can traverse steep 45-degree angles. Therefore, if you own one , it has your back. The app is so intuitive that you can customize it however you like. You can create art on your lawn here. I could choose the position of my stripes however I wanted, at any angle I desired. If I want to make a diamond, I could select it. If I want it to work that way, I could do all of that. I could follow the progress in real time. We've already mapped 483 square meters of grass here and you have another 60 minutes left and plenty of battery. All of this has been working and only 25% has been used. It has incredibly smart sensors. Therefore, you can have it use only its touch bumpers or the touch bumpers plus its built-in smart AI technology , which assesses any obstacles in its path. You don't have to worry about leaving things in the backyard and having the lawnmower destroy them. It's so precise that even within your settings, you can select to follow the exact route you plotted or even deviate slightly just to be safe. And the setup couldn't be simpler. Simply drive it manually like an RC toy car around the entire perimeter you want, create that zone, name it, and then you can simply assign a fast travel route, so you know your lawnmower is moving around this area safely from any other danger. And it completes the task by conveniently going to the docking station where it positions itself, cleans and docks, leaving you ready for the next use. The Luba 1 Plus is going to be a game-changer that will help me multitask . That's why I highly recommend you try the Luba Cam Outdoor Plus. They currently have incredible offers that you can check out for yourself. Click on the link in the description and make your life a little easier. Meanwhile, let's get back to the guided tour of the house. She says, "We won't." I'm thinking of taking it down because I think it will look too big... The wardrobe is a great size for a 70s house. Yes, to be honest, I think it's great. There are usually not many surprises . Wow, that was the Wrangler man. I have to respect the Wrangler man. I always like to look at the highest shelves of things. Do you remember our last house? We found a porn movie on VHS from the 80s, at the very top. Like, "How do you know it's an adult film?" Well, I still had the original case. It had a case and it was space-age. We did n't have a VCR to view the content. From what we know, it could have been a wedding video. It's true. They simply hid it in a wedding video. Uh, the main bathroom. A little small. So I was just saying that for such a small house, it actually has very good storage space between the three closets in the hallway and the main closet. However, it's not a very large main bathroom. So we're going to have to do some kind of reorganization. I don't know if I could fit two sinks in here. Okay. I need to have something like JB Weld in my car so that when something like this happens, we can fix it on the go. Who benefits from this when they 're stuck like this? Okay, let's continue. What can we say about this kitchen? Lovely. I love orange. Orange. Very retro. I wonder what they were thinking. As if the cabinets were orange, they're an orange-brown. So why don't we use orange countertops? Because it matches a bit. I would have chosen gray, black, maybe even white. It's a solid, metal, rotating tray. It is usually made of plastic. Ah, yes. That has changed. It's still solid, maybe it needs a little lubricant, a bit of a hook tool. Classic. Do you know what these cabinets smell like? When you open one of these drawers, it smells like I think an old person smells. I'm just going to say older people, but I do n't mean to be mean. I'm not saying they have a smell. There's just a smell. Do you know what babies smell like ? I think older people have a smell for a reason. I don't know, but every time I open one of these cabinets I think, "I should call my grandfather." You usually want the island like this, the whole countertop for bar stools and stuff. And all those things, yes. I mean, ideally you would be able to change. It's strange how it is because normally you want a central point here, right? Air outlet upwards. Not a dishwasher in the center. Yes, that is an interesting place for it. How funny would it be if we said, " Let's make the dishwasher the centerpiece." So we make a bell, a splash guard, and stone. And we thought, "Very good, great. Great." Here you go, yes. But hey, I actually like this. Do you like it? Yes. Are you joking or are you serious? No, I'm serious. I think it's pretty cute. I know if I left it there, but in your old crafting days right now . Yes. This is pretty cool. It has a radio right underneath it. It has a built-in can opener here. I was going to say, what if we put the refrigerator there? Yes. Because I think this is a pantry. Yes. Yes. I want to tear down this wall. This is the wall of the empty room we entered. What we could do is...tear it down, put the fridge here and make a pantry here, a little door or even the cabinets you put in the last house . Yes. And here's a fun part. Here's the laundry room. That's what had me a little confused when I was looking at this house, I don't know . We had a closet in the hallway like this for laundry in the abandoned house. And it was a shame, but at least I was in the hallway. Yes. The kitchen is tricky, especially with a lot of heavy-duty pipes running through here, but hopefully I can see if this is a…
