How to Talk Your WIFE into letting you buy a SAWMILL
What happens here
Begin the milling process by using a Log Ox (cant hook) to roll a log onto the Wood-Mizer LT40's hydraulic log loaders. Once on the loaders, use the hydraulic controls to lift the log and position it securely onto the sawmill bed. Engage the debarker, a small spinning blade that removes bark from the cutting path. This step is crucial for extending the life of the main saw blade, as bark can dull it quickly. After debarking, make the first pass with the main saw blade to cut off a slab, creating the first flat surface on the log.
Goal: Safely load logs onto the sawmill and make the initial cut to begin squaring.
