HOW TO STAIN A WOOD FENCE | Step-by-Step Instructions to Paint or Stain Like a Pro

What happens here

Begin by understanding the project and gathering your tools. The fence should have been power washed a few days prior. For water-based stains, the fence does not need to be 100% dry. The tools required include an airless sprayer, a 515 tip, an 18-20 inch gun extension, and a stiff bristle stain brush (a 4-inch brush is recommended). Cardboard shields and shield holders are also useful for managing overspray.

Goal: Understand the process and gather necessary tools and materials.
