Ensure Deck Dryness and Prevent Puddling

Just throw it all away. It's pretty critical that before you apply in your stain, if you build the deck and it's brand new, to wait till the deck dries out so it accepts stain. If the wood's really wet, really green, then it's not going to accept the proper amount of stain. You want it to be nice and dry and absorbent so that a stain will absorb right in. But also, when it's not absorbing in, do not let it puddle or pull. Make sure you wipe it off.
