How To Spray Interior Trim & Doors. Painting Doors & Trim.

This is part two of our series on how to use an airless sprayer. In this series, we're going to show you how to spray a door and a window. And the door we got ready set up here inside of a house. The door's got some white spawn spots on it. There's any areas that need to be primed. We use a product called Seal Lock Primer, and it's an alcohol-based primer, which dries really quick. We primed some spots on the door jamb. There was some crayon marks and some other pin marks on the door. We uh mask behind the door. We put a screw to stir stick on top of the door. That'll keep it away from the wall. So when we flip the door over, it will lean up against the wall from both sides. So the door is ready to spray. We got a Rackex 210 tip inside the gun. The sprayer is all loaded up with the paint. We're going to start off by spraying the two edges of the doors and then the face of the door. We're going to flip it over and then spray the opposite side. We're going to start from the top. Spray it down one side. Spray it down the other side. And then we're going to continue now and spray the whole door without releasing the trigger. sprayed that whole side of the door without releasing the trigger. And you want to overlap your spray pattern by 50%. Now that we sprayed that side, we can reach up, grab the door, flip it over. Our stir sticks are going to keep the door away from the wall and away from our masking. Now we'll spray the outside of the door. We already sprayed the edges, so this time we only need to spray the face of the door. [Applause] Now we got a window that's ready and masked over here. We got paper masking on the outside. We got a plastic masking on the inside. And we're going to spray the window now with a 210 tip. The same Rackax 210. And for the doors and windows, it's good to use a 210 or a 310 tip. And we're going to start off on the right hand side. And we're going to pull the trigger. We're going to go from one side to the other. I'm going to start off [Applause] and then the window seal itself. [Applause]
