How to Service a Dodge Ram 5.9 Cummins! Detailed..no nonsense tips and tricks.

What happens here

Carefully insert the new fuel filter element and cap assembly back into the canister. Ensure it slides smoothly onto the central shaft. Gently hand-tighten the cap, allowing the filter to absorb fuel gradually. Avoid pushing down too hard to prevent air from being introduced into the system. Once finger-tight, use the 1/2 inch drive ratchet with the 29mm socket to give it a final snug turn, just enough to seal the gasket without overtightening.

Goal: Secure the new fuel filter into the engine.
