How To Pressure Wash A Wood Fence. Power washing a fence. How to stain a fence.

What happens here

The presenter introduces the project, explaining that this video is the first part of a two-part series on fence staining, focusing specifically on the power washing portion. He details the importance of using a powerful pressure washer, demonstrating with a DeWalt model that boasts 4200 PSI and 4 gallons per minute (GPM). He highlights that this high PSI is crucial for stripping dead wood, existing grain, and any old stain from the fence. A brass rotating nozzle, capable of handling 4200 PSI, is shown and recommended, emphasizing that both the hose handle and nozzle must be rated for the pressure washer's PSI. He warns that a pressure washer with only a couple thousand PSI would not be sufficient for effectively stripping the dead wood off the fence.

Goal: Gather and understand the appropriate power washing equipment for fence preparation.

This is Chris from BNK Painting. In this video, we're going to show you how to power wash a fence to get it ready to uh stain the fence. This is a part two video. We'll show you in this video how to actually do the power washing portion. Uh or this is part one. In part two, we'll actually show you how to do the staining portion. Here we're going to be using uh power wash this fence. We got a DeWalt power washer. It's 4200 PSI, 4 gallons a minute. You definitely want a power washer that's going to have enough PSI that's actually going to strip uh the dead wood and the grain and off the fence and any type of old stain that's on the fence to get it to prep properly to actually stain it. In this v uh video, we're actually using a brass rotating nozzle that can actually handle 4200 PSI. It's important to have a hose handle and um nozzle that will actually um actually handle the PSI of the power washer you're using. A power washer that has only a couple thousand PSI wouldn't be enough to actually strip the dead wood off the fans. So, we got a large power washer. We've got the rotating brass nozzle. And um we're going to show you how to do the fence now. And in the
