(5,661 characters)Hey, what you're going to learn is how to get paid to do an estimate, not to actually perform the job, just to do the estimate. I'm going to take you with as I do a live sales call. This is not rehearsed. Didn't know how it would go, but what I wanted you to see is how I present the value and just having me come out to do the estimate so that you guys and gals out there, you can do the exact same thing. I want every minute of your day. It's valuable. It's valuable to you. You've got to be able to learn to present that to your customers so that you can get paid even for doing estimates. So, let's see how I do this live call. We're we're just we are trying to find out what our options are and trying to get things under control and we thought, well, why not? And then he gave us your name because I think you guys did his wall down in Prescott, Wisconsin. uh he had a big retaining wall uh huge huge retaining type wall that needed to be uh shortened up and I think so that's where we got your your name and why we why we turned to you. Okay, I understand. So you're you're going to be trying to sell the house. So we need to come up with some possible solutions not just for you but for potential buyers down the road. That's correct. that that would be yeah something that we can offer to them and say yeah we appreciate that the law leans but here's what we've and we've had it assessed and here's what they the experts tell us. Got it. And so then that'll help you you know sell the house whether you go ahead and go forward with the prop project or not. It doesn't make a difference. At least you'll have the ability to sell the house and put it in good hands. Well and also to we may want to we may find ourselves in a situation where we have to fix it. Mhm. I mean, and the inspectors could come through and just say, you know, haven't fixed that wall. Uh, and so we what kind of a hit we're going to take if we do decide to fix it. But we for from our perspective, we just we need to know what we can and can't feel comfortable saying to to prospective buyers so that they don't feel like they're being handed a bill of good. Got it. We want them to feel that way when we don't want. I wouldn't uh leave them feeling that way. Okay. Well, here's what I do. be feeling that way ourselves, right? So, here's what uh here's the way I do it. It's $200 to have me come out to your site. I do I do a field measurement. I come up with solutions, whether that's an engineered retaining wall reinforce with geogrid or whether we go with other methods where we do a gravity wall, but then we change the batter on the wall and we deepen the drainage zone to compensate for it. I document every single step of the process. I put that into a written proposal and I turn that over to you. Now, if you decide that you want to go forward with the project, the $200 estimating fee comes right out of the total of the job site. If you don't want to go forward with the project, I still get to keep the $200 for my services, for my time, for getting everything put together for you, and to create something that you can move forward with, turn over to someone else, and help you sell the house. That sounds like a like a uh a reasonable thing. let me talk to my wife to find out is as how she feels about that. I'm particularly interested in in getting this resolved. So, uh and we do have uh uh some very interested buyers on on the line and we don't want to have them walk away. Like I said, I do a very comprehensive measurement of everything. I do an analysis of where your wall's currently at. I can also give a projected life expectancy of the wall and its current situation if that will help. Now, I don't put a guarantee on that part of it. My report will help you calm any prospective buyers down and to sell the house. Feel confident that we got to definitely have this looked at and we would like to take advantage of that $200 look, see, and report. Get your opinion on things. All right. Very good. What I'll do is I'll uh I'll head out today. Pick I'm going to take pictures. I'm going to take videotape. I'm going to thoroughly document every aspect of it. How long your wall is, how tall your wall is. I'm going to give you options on solutions. I'm going to I'm going to email and then I'm going to type that up. I'm going to email that over to you and um then you that's yours to keep. Whether you move forward with us, whether you move forward with someone else, at least you're going to have a blueprint for success for you or for the next person coming into your house. Sounds good. Okay. You can meet me or you can just tape the check to the door. I'll pick it up when I'm over there doing your estimating. I am at the location. All right. Very good. Uh, let's set up a time that we can meet right now then. If you're okay with that, just you name it, I'll be here. That's how you sell your estimating services. You got to put value on it. You're not just going to go out and do all this work for free. You know, you know, you specifically know how much work it takes to do a very detailed analysis of a job site, but your customer doesn't know that. Relate that to them. Let them see the value that you're willing to give them. And once they understand that, you're going to be able to get paid to do your estimates. It's just the way it goes. I hope this has helped you guys and gals out. This was a live call, not rehearsed. Didn't know how it would go. This is how I present it so that when I go out to do these analysis on these job sites, I can actually get paid for my time. Love you guys. Love you guys. Go get them. God bless each and
