Okay, day in the life of a young electrician, blueco collar worker. So, first thing I do is I wake up, check to see I got all my tools in my van, put in my Timberland boots. These boots are great. Perfect for any job. Then I go check on my Pops in the shop. What's up, Dad? What's up, brother? How we doing? We're good, man. Let's go. Absolute legend. Pops just turned 60. He's a master electrician. Always grinding. Straight beast. So, I'm on my way to the job. Pop stays at the shop. Today, a customer called saying they want a Tesla charger installed at their house. They just got a brand new red Tesla. And let me tell you, it's a straight rocket. So, I drill into the wall with a paddle bit, feed my ROMX wire into the electrical panel, then start prepping my 3/4inch EMT conduit. I use my offset bender. I call it the little kicker. I bend it a 90° and then I strap it onto the wall. I then use my paddle bit again to drill outside so I can start mounting my Tesla charger back plate. I feed my conductors in two number sixes and one number 10 gauge ground cuz this is a 240 volt EV charger. No neutrals needed. I strip back my ROMX wire with my razor knife and got to be careful cuz this is a live electrical panel. I installed my 40 amp double pole circuit breaker and boom, boom, boom. Had to do a couple big booms because we just got the breaker in safely and we're about to finish. So, I start landing and torquing my conductors into the EV charger. You want to make sure connections are nice and tight since this is going to be a continuous load. 40 amp circuit breaker installed, which means 32 amp continuous load from the EV charger. The 80% rule. Green lights on. So, you know what that means? We finished. Customer is satisfied. I put my tools away. And that's what a day in the life of an electrician looks
