How to Install a Drill Bit
What happens here
Next, learn to use a cordless drill with a keyless chuck. To install a bit, manually spin the chuck counter-clockwise to open its jaws. Insert the desired drill bit, and then gently spin the chuck clockwise by hand until it starts to grip the bit. To fully tighten, engage the drill's forward directional button (typically a small button on the side of the drill body that sets the rotation direction to clockwise) and lightly pull the trigger while gripping the chuck. This uses the drill's motor to provide extra torque, securing the bit. To remove or swap, reverse the direction using the directional button and briefly pull the trigger while gripping the chuck, then spin the chuck manually to fully open the jaws.
Goal: Securely install and remove drill bits using a keyless chuck and motor power
