How to Install a Drill Bit

What happens here

Begin with the corded drill, which features a keyed chuck. To install a drill bit, rotate the chuck by hand counter-clockwise until the three jaws are open wide enough to insert the bit's shank. Once the bit is inserted, rotate the chuck clockwise by hand until the jaws make contact and start to tighten. For a secure fit, use the chuck key by aligning its teeth with the gears on the chuck and turning it clockwise until the bit is very tight and won't spin freely. To remove or swap a bit, reverse the process by using the chuck key to loosen the jaws, then manually spinning the chuck counter-clockwise to fully release the bit.

Goal: Securely install and remove drill bits using a chuck key
