Install Bleeding Funnel and Initial Coolant Fill
At 2:35 in
How to get the air out of your cars cooling system! Simple, easy and fun!
What happens here
The creator introduces a specialized coolant bleeding funnel, which comes with various adapters to fit different radiator openings. He demonstrates how to select the correct adapter to create a snug seal on the radiator. He removes the radiator cap (ensuring the engine is cool) and then places the funnel into the opening. After removing a small plug from the funnel, he begins pouring O'Reilly 50/50 Antifreeze & Coolant into the funnel, observing air bubbles exiting the system. He explains that the prior overheating was due to the previous owner failing to properly refill the coolant after replacing a freeze plug, leading to air pockets. He also suggests that elevating the front of the car would further aid in the bleeding process.
Goal: Secure the bleeding funnel and add initial coolant to expel air
