First question you guys ask a lot is how do you get started running heavy equipment like that? Well, there's two basic avenues you can go down. You can go through a training academy, you can go to a school and you can get formal training. Now if you plan on getting formal training, budget between four and five thousand dollars. But if that's out of your reach, there is a way around it. If you don't have that as even opportunity, you can start small and work your way up. You can start for a small landscape company, a lawn care company or any company that has smaller equipment like Bobcat, small excavators and things like that. And the trick is you become the best within that organization. And I'm not talking about the most skilled. You don't have to be the guy that flips bottle tops off from Coke cans. That doesn't matter. You become the person that cares the most about the job, cares the most about the equipment, cares the most about the organization because business owners look for that. That foregoes skill. Your dedication, your commitment to the company is the absolute key to success. Don't forget that general rule and that will take you from a small Bobcat to a mid-size excavator to a 45-ton rock truck. That's what worked for me, it'll work for you. I absolutely promise you.
