How to fix a busted garden hose!

What happens here

For a mid-hose leak, you'll use a mender fitting from the repair kit. Cut out the damaged section of the hose, creating two clean ends. Carefully remove any internal 'no-kink' tabs from both new cut ends. Slide a hose clamp onto each end of the hose sections. Then, firmly push one end of the hose onto one side of the mender fitting until it's fully seated. Next, push the other hose section onto the opposite side of the mender fitting. Position the hose clamps over the barbed sections of the mender fitting and tighten them down with a multi-bit screwdriver, alternating between clamps to ensure an even, snug fit. Do not overtighten.

Goal: Repair a cut in the middle of the hose by splicing it.
