How to fix a bare spot in your yard

What happens here

Carefully load the selected grass seed into the seed spreader. The presenter uses Kentucky 32 Tall Fescue Turf Seed. Most seed bags and spreaders will have a chart indicating the correct setting for spreading, typically specified in pounds per square foot or coverage area. For this project, a heavy application rate is used, with about 10-15 pounds of seed for a small bare spot. Set the spreader to a high setting (e.g., setting 9 for an EarthWay spreader) to ensure sufficient coverage. For a convenient and easy opening, the seed bag is cut using a Gerber knife.

Goal: Fill the spreader with seed and set the correct application rate.
