How to bid COMMERCIAL LAWN MOWING

What happens here

With the lot size, man-hour rate, and your chosen hourly charge determined, you can now calculate the total bid for one mowing service. First, divide the total mowable square footage of the lot by the man-hour rate (e.g., 10,000 or 15,000 sq ft/hour) to get the estimated total labor hours required. Then, multiply the estimated labor hours by your chosen hourly rate (e.g., $32-$42/hour based on the site's difficulty) to arrive at the price per mow. For example, a 30,000 sq ft lot with a 10,000 sq ft/hour rate requires 3 hours. If the site is difficult, and you charge $42/hour, the resulting bid is $126 per mow. Remember to also add a travel time allowance to this calculation.

Goal: Determine the final cost to charge for a single commercial lawn mowing service.
