House Demolition (Time Lapse)

all right today what we're doing is demoing a house but the important point to this video is not actually removing the house is what we do to prep and get ready to remove the house so in this case we've disconnected all the utilities we've got the sewer and water shut off the gas meter has been removed the electric has been disconnected from the house but the homeowners could not afford to remove the items from the house themselves it was easier to have us come in and remove everything in this case what we're doing is we're simply charging them a time and material rate but to expedite the process instead of carrying everything through the house what we've done is we've decided to remove the walls the house is going to come down anyway so we've removed the walls we put the the bucket to the excavator inside the house we load it up we spin it and we throw it right into the dump truck what would take a homeowner two or three days to empty out a house takes us five or six hours on average so that's a service that we'd like to provide extra to the homeowners when we're done cleaning out the house and separating the personal debris then the house itself can come down that gets recycled that gets brought down separated the concrete basement is separated from the timber structure above they go to different locations and then we backfill the hole flatten it out and get it ready so that green grass can be planted on it in the springtime when uh the temperatures allow so that's the process to removing a house and getting it prepped and ready and cleaned up
