Lay Paver Tiles & Fill Joints

How NOT to build a Patio!
What happens here
With the compacted sub-base in place, a thin layer (approximately 3/4 inch) of granite chips is spread as the final leveling base for the pavers. The high-end granite paver tiles are then carefully laid onto this prepared leveling base. Due to their size and weight, a specialized air lifter is utilized to pick up and precisely place each tile, minimizing physical strain and ensuring accurate positioning. After all tiles are laid, polymeric sand is swept into the joints between the pavers. This sand, when wet, hardens to lock the pavers in place, preventing weed growth and insect intrusion. The patio is then compacted once more to settle the pavers and sand, and finally lightly misted with water to activate the polymeric sand.
Goal: Securely install the paver tiles and stabilize the patio surface.
