How do I Expand my Lawn Care Business? #2

What happens here

Utilize every bidding opportunity, regardless of whether you win or lose, as a learning experience. By bidding on projects, you gain exposure to industry pricing, project scope, and client expectations. If you don't get a job, follow up with the client or contractor (if appropriate) to understand why your bid wasn't selected or even the winning bid amount. This feedback is invaluable for refining your pricing strategies, improving your processes, and understanding the competitive landscape for future bids. Treat these experiences as 'rehearsals' for the jobs you do want to win.

Goal: Improve bidding accuracy and process efficiency by analyzing outcomes of all bid submissions.

everything that comes on but what I want you to do is when these giant jobs come up because they will I don't want you to take them I want you to bid them I want you to stay in that loop Josh I want you to put your numbers and put them in high so you don't get the job but you get your name on their radar screen so whoever that contractor is or that customer is you don't want to just say no and walk away you want them to go all you know for the next job and you want to you want to practice you're gonna use their big jobs as practice as rehearsal for your smaller jobs and for future big jobs this is a beautiful thing you want to get your name out there you want to rehearse how you interact with the contractors and the customers even on jobs you don't want and then you're going to also practice how you bid that job and you're gonna ask after the job is bid because you bid it because you are interested in it you get to ask at that point it gives you a reason and excuse your foot in the door to say hey I understand I wasn't the low bidder on this one but I'm really trying to refine my numbers and prove my process could you give me an idea of where the the next two bids were that came in in front of me or where or something like that what's gonna happen josh is not all the time but once in a while they're gonna give you those numbers that's how you get those numbers that's how you do it and so what you bid a job for a hundred thousand dollars the next guy may have been it at sixty thousand and the guy below it may have been it at fifty five thousand but now you're going I know what this job and I know how much it goes for so I can the next job that comes up I can use as a comparison to this project and maybe the next job will be half that size of this giant job and you do want to do it and you go oh golly this one job bit for fifty-five that's where they got it at and it's half the size of the the job that you know I missed so let's bid it at twenty twenty-five where be if you didn't go through the process you didn't take the steps you'd never know oh so
