What happens here

Once surfaces are prepped, the painter begins masking. For windows, masking tape is applied meticulously around the window frames, ensuring a straight and firm edge. Plastic sheeting, often pre-taped at one edge, is then unrolled and adhered to the masking tape to cover the entire glass surface and frame. The sheeting is secured to prevent it from flapping in the wind or detaching during painting. This creates a barrier that protects the non-painted areas, ensuring a crisp separation between the newly painted siding and the protected window.

Goal: Carefully apply masking tape and plastic sheeting to protect windows, glass, and surrounding trim from paint overspray and drips. Ensure tight seals for clean lines.
