(3,234 characters)this chris idaho painter here on paint live tv today is tool tip tuesday and it's maintaining your pressure washer in the winter and i do this in the summertime it's simply running anti-freeze pump protector through your pressure washer so it won't freeze and so won't rust or crowd if you want to see how i do that quick and easy stay tuned for this video [Applause] [Music] okay it is winter time here i'm done with this project here i don't use my power washer very often in the winter time and i also don't use it a lot in the summer time because i'm working solo so every time i'm done using it i always run pump protector through it so it doesn't corrode or rust inside and it's very simple and easy to do all you got to do is disconnect your water and once again i do this after every time i use it and it just protects the pump and keeps it from rusting and corroding and this mighty m bottle is a very simple easy way to do it and this is a reusable bottle and you can just refill it i just refill it with rv antifreeze or automobile antifreeze when it runs out but it's great just screws just keep it closed you'll screw it right to the water intake right here and then i will turn the nozzle to on and from there you can begin squeezing the nozzle and it'll start pumping the water out and now you can see the antifreeze coming through to help it circulate you also want to squeeze pull on a few times your engine and that's gonna push water out and push your antifreeze in now i saw the pink antifreeze coming out i'm gonna turn it off unscrew it now my pump is winterized protected it won't rust or corrode simple handy tip to protecting your power washer pump so it lasts a long time so here's a quick tip for you uh summer and winter time so my hoses it is winter time here i don't want my hose to freeze with water in it also in the summertime i don't want water coming out of my hose all over inside my trailer so i just get on top of my truck bed roll up my hose and you'll see my hose all the water empties out the opposite end because i'm higher than the other end of the hose so now my hose won't freeze nor will it spill water all over the place inside my trailer and the hose is also a lot lighter than if it was full of water simple little tip so there you have it simple tips to protecting your pump when it comes to wintertime and it not freezing also it keeps it from corroding inside the bottle it comes i get these bottles from mighty m and the bottle once again it's reusable you can use it for years this one is several years old and i just i actually like re uh filling it with auto antifreeze and if i got a video talking about antiphrases and what's the best antifreeze to run through your airless sprayers and through your pumps and how and why it protects them go check out that video after you're done watching this video if you've enjoyed the video if it's helped you give us a thumbs up hit the subscribe button hit the notification bell that way you get notified every time i come out with a new video it's pretty simple easy to do if you got any tips or tricks when it comes to winterizing your equipment let us know down in the comment section below we would love to hear from you out [Music]
