Homesteading Food Friday: It's simple, delicious and requires no fridge!
What happens here
Place the small pot containing water and the jar lids onto a stove burner and turn the heat to medium. Next, place the pressure canner onto another stove burner. Add 2.5 quarts of water to the pressure canner. Turn the canner's burner to medium-low heat to start warming the water inside. This pre-warming of the jars in the canner helps prevent thermal shock when hot liquid is later added.
Goal: Heat water for lids and warm the pressure canner with water.
